We have made it easier than ever to find answers to your questions. If you have a question not listed below please feel free to comment on this post and we will ensure it is answered.

Q1 – How often do you recommend service/s?

Pet Waste Removal –  We recommend pet waste removal be completed once or twice per week depending on the number of dogs you have but can come as often as required.


Grass Cutting- We recommend you cut your grass at least once weekly but biweekly cuts are the most beneficial for a healthy lawn.


Snow Removal – It is required by the City of Calgary to shovel within 24 hours of snowfall or once every 24 hours for continual snowfall and we follow this rule for snow removal customers

Q2 – Is there a contract I have to sign? 

Scoop/Cut – We operate on a month to month basis for Pet Waste Removal and Lawn Maintenance. There is no contract or long term commitment required.

Snow Removal – This service is contracted and entitles you to daily snow clearings on a month to month basis with no extra charges.

Q3-  Is there an extra charge for your first visit?

Scoop- If your yard has not been cleaned for over 2 weeks there is an initial cleanup fee.

Cut – There is an extra charge on the first cut if the grass is overgrown and needs to be taken down quite a bit.  We recommend cutting no more than a third of the grass blade at a time.

Shovel – There is an initial clean up fee for snow removal if there is hard packed snow that needs to be scraped and cleared.

Q4 – Is it possible to have a one-time only service?

Absolutely! Just give us a call and we can arrange a special cleanup.
 

Q5- Do I have to be home for your services?

You are not required to be home for any of our servicing.
 

Q6-  Can I put my services on hold or are they transferable?

You got it! Just give us a call and let us know so we can put your services on hold and or discuss the transfer of credit.

Q7- What happens if it rains or there is a heavy snowfall on my service date?

Our crews try to work through any type of weather but there are exceptions.  If there is a torrential storm (snow or rain)  your service will be pushed to a later day that week or to your regular day on the following week. You will never be charged for the service that has been skipped.
 

Q8 – How can I pay you?

We accept all forms of payment including cash, cheque, credit or email money transfer to alex@scoopcutnshovel.com.
 

Q9 – Do you have a referral program?

Yes. If you refer a client you get 15% off of your next purchase. Just give us a call with your referral and if they sign up we will credit your account.

Q10 – Do you have insurance/WCB?

We carry 2 million residential liability at 5 million commercial and are covered by WCB.
